The Kalachakra empowerments that you have received so far are the first seven empowerments for the Kalachakra practices. These seven empowerments are all very precious. Cultivate the practices for these seven empowerments one by one, and when you perfect the practices for all seven empowerments, you are equivalent to a seventh-level bodhisattva. These first seven empowerments are all in the category of Generation stage. Vajrayana has four classes of empowerments. The first empowerment is the Generation stage empowerment and is called Vase empowerment. The second empowerment is the Red and White Flower empowerment, an empowerment using red flowers and white flowers. This is entering into Completion stage. This is also the wind, channels, drops empowerments. The third empowerment is the touch empowerment, that is the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment. The fourth empowerment is the Great Perfection empowerment. It is also called the secret, secret empowerment. So, the progression is Vase, Red and White Flower, Touch, and finally Great Perfection empowerment.

Then, Kalachakra's seven banner empowerments and the Genuine Kalachakra Vajrakila practice empowerment are still part of the Generation stage. As long as you are still seeking yogic union with a principal deity, then the practice is still part of Generation stage cultivation. If you achieve yogic union with Kalachakra, then Kalachakra can easily become your principal deity. This is also receiving empowerment from the principal deity and then attaining yogic union. After achieving yogic union with a principal deity, you can easily achieve spiritual response from the four foundational practices, and then you can also easily achieve yogic union with guru yoga. When you achieve yogic union with guru yoga, you can proceed to Completion stage empowerments. That is the second level empowerment, red and white flower. So, these seven Kalachakra empowerments do not represent second, third or fourth level empowerments. They are all in the category of Vase empowerment. Everybody should understand that you didn't skip over the normal progression. If you achieve yogic union with Kalachakra, then Kalachakra becomes your principal deity. Then you can just increase the number of times you perform the four foundational practices and you will quickly gain yogic union with the four foundational practices. Then, you can quickly achieve yogic union with the guru yoga. So once you have achieved yogic union, you can quickly achieve yogic union with the other practices. So perhaps you may have cultivated the four foundational practices for a long time and have never achieved yogic union, or have cultivated the guru yoga for a long time and have never achieved yogic union, or have cultivated the principal deity practice for a long time and have never achieved yogic union. Perhaps you have affinity with Kalachakra. When you achieve yogic union with Kalachakra, you will also quickly achieve yogic union with the other practices.

Everyone should understand this principle. You are only cultivating to achieve yogic union. You haven't started to cultivate wind, channels, and drops, so you have not surpassed the Generation stage progression. If you did not receive wind, channels, and drops empowerment, and you start to cultivate wind, channels, drops practice, that is violating the progression. We have treasure vase-breathing empowerment. You can cultivate the treasure vase-breathing practice. The treasure vase breathing practice opens the central channel. Once your central channel is open, you can cultivate inner fire yoga practice (tummo). When you succeed in the inner fire yoga, you can cultivate drops. When the drops lower and the inner fire ascends, and they mutually ignite in the heart chakra, then you can cultivate non-leakage. The inner fire, drops, and non-leakage practices all fall under the second level empowerment. When you reach the third level empowerment, the heart chakra by your central channel will radiate clear light first, the heart chakra will generate clear light. The entire central channel will be luminous, and the five chakras will all radiate light. The five buddhas and five herukas will appear in your five chakras. Then, you will have achieved siddhi in the heruka practice. You can achieve union with all five herukas.
