He is True Buddha School`s second Acharya residing in Japan, named Lian Chang. Grand Master Lu also attested Acharya Lian Chang is the reincarnation of Yellow Padmakumara. Acharya Lian Chang was born in 1955, graduated from the Osaka Japan Medical School and became a True Buddha School disciple in August, 1988. He had desired to become a monk from a very young age. At age 20, he was baptized at the Japanese Jesus Christ Church. Initially, he wanted to become a pastor; however, he realized that he still wasn`t able to change his bad habits many years after he joined the church. Since then, he had been searching for truth that would truly free himself from worries. Graduating from a medical school, Acharya Lian Chang had been practicing medicine for more than seventeen years since age 26. At age 33, he followed Grand Master Lu`s direction and built the Japanese Dah Gein Temple. To fulfill his duties to spread dharma, Acharya Lian Chang gave up his career, six medical licenses (he was a certified medical doctor in areas of acupuncture, acupressure, plastic surgery and chiropractice), and his inheritance of the family business in construction. He worships Grand Master Lu the most in that He gives up all the fame and fortune unaffectedly; thus he modeled himself after Grand Master Lu. He is a true role model for the entire True Buddha School dharma faculty. Because Acharya Lian Chang does not understand languages other than his native language, Japanese, all communications were translated by his former wife, sister Tsai Wen Yang. Acharya Lian Chang was the President of Japanese Dah Gein Temple and liberated many people. Many of them were his patients, and they also later became True Buddha School disciples. After a disastrous earthquake in Osaka, Japan, he realized how variable and uncontrollable life is; thus, he decided to enter monkhood. Grand Master Lu instructed him: ``Practice White Padmakumara homa to help sentient beings!``. Grand Master Lu also encouraged him to plan on building a Ray Tseng Temple in Hokkaido, Japan! Acharya Lian Chang`s view on entering monkhood: (1) Grand Master Lu is a ``True Buddha``. One can rarely encounter in ages. All Acharya Lian Chang`s relatives, friends and patients who apply True Buddha dharma in their daily life have received authentic metaphysical responses. (2) Acharya Lian Chang vows to keep his purity of body, speech and mind, to liberate himself and other beings from samsara without hindrance, and to depend on Grand Master to enter monkhood in order to attain enlightenment. We are very pleased that True Buddha School has such an outstanding individual to become one of our monks and received the Vajra Acharya empowerment from Grand Master to be an Acharya.
