Background

I grew up in Connecticut and moved to Southern Cal for graduate school at UCLA. I love this area and I managed to find the perfect job, here at Cal Poly Pomona.

Interests & Activities

My personal and professional interests overlap for me to serve as the Webmaster for the Chemistry Department at Cal Poly Pomona. In this capacity, I have been developing the Department's Web page and helping other faculty members create their own Home pages. See the list of Chemistry Resources on the Internet I've compiled. Any suggestions? I'll be updating it as necessary.

I am actively involved as an advisor to Cal Poly's chemistry club, the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SAACS). The American Chemical Society has many useful resources on the web.

My research interests lie in the area of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Methodology development. For my Ph.D., I worked with Professor Mike Jung at UCLA.

My personal interests include golf, racquetball, camping, snorkeling, going whale watching and watching football (I'm a big Dallas Cowboys fan). My biggest hobby is collecting PEZ dispensers! My husband and I have over 250 of them. Come visit my Photo Gallery and see my two nieces, Nicole and Jenine.
